Strandable Silk Threads

Consist of only slightly twisted single threads. The single threads can be separated without problems and thus be processed individually or in multiples. When working with multiple threads, it is recommended to work with a laying tool.

    Soie d'Alger® (40)

    Soie d'Alger®Seven-strand silk matt embroidery twist, i.e. the thread consists of 7 threads of spun silk, which are only weakly twisted together. The single thread is slightly thicker than the more familiar Stranded Cotton, softer and fluffier.

    Soie de Paris™ (40)

    Soie de Paris™Six-strand embroidery twist, which means that the thread consists of 6 threads that are only slightly twisted together. It is made of unspun silk, which is also slightly twisted, thereby achieving a very high gloss factor. A single thread of the silk is slightly thicker than the single thread of Stranded Cotton.
