Expert - canvaswork (detail) - with friendly permission of © Anna (DE)
Step by step you will enter the fascination of needlework. Each module of the Master Needle Worker correspondence course has 6 lessons in which a given motif and/or a sampler is worked. The whole is crowned by a final project on a given topic. Fascination of the techniques, materials and colours with which you create your needlework with needle and thread as colourful and vivid as a painter with a brush.
In addition to the simple stitching technique there is a bit of theory, e.g. how the choice of working material affects the work, which needle is used why for which material, which other tools are useful in needlework and how you can best set up your workplace.
The seminar is suitable for: Beginners, re-starters, Sunday stitchers, needlework manicas and all those who cannot keep their fingers off the needle and thread and who enjoy every day. So for anyone who likes to work with needle and thread, who is as fascinated by the whole range of hand embroidery as we are and who is or wants to become part of the big world family of happy needleworkers. You don't need more prerequisites.
Use it to create practice pieces, as preparation for the development of your own courses, to create a sample book, as preparation for a course of study or the practical part of the journeyman's examination for the profession of Designing Crafts WoMan / subject needlework. No matter:
Module I - Basics
We start with 5 different stitches or sub techniques per lesson. This is the entry into the world of the art of hand embroidery. In all 6 lessons we work with the same motif, which is always adapted to the technique. This is a traditional motif from the past high times of embroidery. This makes it easier to break away from our somehow innate conviction that you have to realize every pattern very realistically.
Module II - Advanced
It continues with more stitches, more techniques and the first combinations and variations. In each lesson you will work a classic sampler and additionally a small design for which we give you 3 templates to choose from. The planning for the design will be made by you under consideration of certain guidelines and then of course embroidered...
Module III - Expert
Now it's almost done! In the last module you will learn more stitches and other techniques. Many things will be combined, experimented and varied in a modern way. You will create 6 somewhat unconventional samplers in the shape of our popular flower shell.

For the final project, we will give you a topic from which you can create any project under certain conditions.
